History

Started in very early 1980's, the White Knights Circle Chess Club is now based in Toukley, NSW, Australia, although initially they met in the Kanwal Literary Hall (and before that each others homes on a rotating basis - thus the circle).

Toukley is situated 80 km north of Sydney, including a range of attractive beach resorts.

Barry Mann and Malcolm Murrell were the driving forces behind the club, and along with Jason Williams they were a strong club - not so much in numbers or depth, since Barry; Mal and Jason were in the top dozen local players.

The White Knights and Ettalong formed the core of the Central Coast Chess Association in 1986 after Gosford Chess Club thought it not in their interests to join.

since the 1980's Barry Mann has been President (most years anyway).
Keith farrell was President for a year in 2000.
2001 - President has been Barry Mann.
